Vallisneria tortifolia is a low-maintenance plant that does well in both low-tech and high-tech tanks. It can tolerate a variety of water parameters but thrives with regular water changes and moderate lighting. This species spreads via runners, so it can quickly take over a tank, but it’s easy to trim or propagate by dividing clumps.
Planting:
To encourage faster spread, divide larger portions into smaller clumps and plant them in nutrient-rich substrate. Ensure the roots are securely planted, as this will help the plant establish and grow more effectively.
Please note: If you wish to keep your aquarium snail and pest free, rinse plants gently before adding them to your tank.
